College Fit

This package includes :

  • Interviews and formal assessments to develop key college factors which take into account the student's college expecatations, values, abilities and interests. Following assessments, a summary is provided to parents with the option of meeting to ensure we are all on the same page.

  • Based on assessment results, I will provide a preliminary balanced list of 15-20 colleges with a variety of "likely,"target," and "reach" schools. Students will be expected to contribute to the building of the list.

  • I will provide helpful websites and resources to ensure that students are actively participating in the research to narrow down their list. It's their future after all!

  • Worksheets and tips on getting the most from campus visits and college fairs, as needed.

  • Ultimately, a list of  "apply to" schools. The number of schools will vary, depending on the student.

Essay/Personal Statement/UC Personal Insight Questions

This package is for the student who knows where they want to apply, but they need help with the all important ESSAY.

Includes: 

 

  • Essay prompts, brainstorming and self discovery exercises.

  • Editing and revision to ensure writing reflects student's authentic self beyond grades and test scores.

The Whole Enchilada

College Fit and Essay combined with application management from beginning to end, plus:

  • Review of student's completed applications and essay to minimize accidental errors and omissions, and ensure all written answers are used to the best advantage.

  • Evaluation of college acceptances and award letters; facilitation of final college decision.

I Don't Know What I Need

  • Hourly rates available for any aspect of the above. This option offers a pay as you go approach.

Other Services

  • I am available by the hour for Freshman and Sophmore year "check-ins" on suitable college prep coursework, volunteer activities and help exploring educational options to maximize success.

  • Gap year information and resources.

  • LGBTQIA+, and ADHD/ Learning Differences resources and college suggestions.
